The Sporting Dog Wing of the National Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction, Tennessee, displays exhibits representing the following breeds: American Brittany, English Cocker, English Springer Spaniel, German Shorthaired Pointer, German Wirehaired Pointer, Gordon Setter, Irish/Red Setter, Vizsla, and Weimaraner. The goal of the museum is to represent the many breeds of sporting dogs, the early history of the National Field Trials, and the winners of modern field trialing.
Museum 2Through the Weimaraner Exhibit, the history of the Weimaraner in the field will be showcased to introduce the public to, and educate them about, sporting dog activities. In addition to the pictures, memorabilia, and materials for the exhibit, a video loop is also being developed. A Hall of Fame for WCA Field Dogs will be created in the Museum.
